Delighted Pets is the tri-state areas first in class canine concierge service. Offering a suite of premier services tailored for pet owners from structured and supervised daily excursions to expert grooming sessions and short or long term boarding. At Delighted Pets, it's not just grooming or daycare—it's a lavish lifestyle experience for you and your beloved dog.
Our
History
Starting in 2015 on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, Salvatore Romano and his new company, Delighted Pets, was setting out with its first offering. One on one, structured and behavior focused walks through Central Park. Our goal was to offer something truly unique and to set ourselves apart from the many disconnected pack-walks you may see throughout the city.
Two years later we acquired our first transport vehicle, enabling us to offer transportation around the upper east side to and from the vet, the airport, to the Hamptons, Greenwich and beyond in separate safe and hygienic kennels.
Salvatore was hiking with his dogs on the trails around his home when he was struck with the idea of offering this same experience to all of the pets in his care. He started taking small groups on excursions to the many trails around Bear Mountain, The Catskills and and surrounding areas.
From there Delighted Pets was able to secure 3 acres of property in Upstate NY, a slice of property on an idyllic horse farm surrounded by trees and mountains where the dogs were able to learn and play outdoors and truly expend all their energy.
We were then able to secure a facility in Brewster NY giving us the ability to focus on creating a one of a kind boarding facility where the dogs can stay as they learn and play. We began to offer professional grooming services and expand upon our agility courses and training.

Attenti Al Cane! The definition of CAVE CANEM is Latin for “Beware of the dog”. The history of the Delighted Pets logo comes from the very site in the entryway of The House of the Tragic Poet, a typical 2nd century BC Roman house in Pompeii, Italy. The house is famous for it’s elaborate mosaic floors and illustrative scene from Greek Mythology. Delighted Pets owner and president Salvatore Romano was fortunate enough to be able to learn about the history on Pompeii while visiting the city ruins and the very house where our logo originated from.
